U4GM Tips for ARC Raiders Bird City loot and rubber ducks
Patch 1.13 has people talking about Buried City for the gun tweaks, but the real money is up top, and it hits fast if you know what you're doing. I started paying attention once I realised Bird City isn't a "nice bonus" objective, it's a full-on economy shortcut, especially if you're already planning a loot run for ARC Raiders Items and don't want to leave value sitting on rooftops.
What Bird City Actually Is
The modifier seeds chimneys in the residential blocks with bird nests, and the game practically dares you to climb. Look for birds circling over a chimney; that's the signal. Getting the prompt can be awkward, though. You'll often have to shuffle your angle, step a half-foot to the side, and re-aim until "Loot" finally shows. It's irritating because you're exposed, but once you get the rhythm you can clear roofs quickly and stop treating them like decoration.
Timing and Routing Tips
The schedule is the part that feels rough. Right now it rotates in narrow windows, so you can't just hop on whenever: 7:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. PT, and 11:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. PT. If you're in Europe, yeah, it's a pain. So when the slot opens, play like it's a sprint. Plan a roof-to-roof loop before you drop, and don't get pulled into street fights unless you have to. The whole point is to stay vertical, grab nests, and leave.
Loot Table and the Duck Chase
You'll pull the usual materials, but the reason people are printing coins is the Rubber Ducks. It sounds like a joke until you see the numbers. There are different variants, and the better ones are the real spike: Alien Duck, Doodly Duck, and the Familiar Duck, which sells for a chunky 7,000 coins by itself. The best part is stacking. Fifteen ducks in one slot means your inventory doesn't collapse after a couple of rooftops, and a single good slot can be worth more than an entire "normal" run.
Staying Alive Up There
The rooftops aren't safe, they're just different. Birds spooking can give you away, and that noise draws both players and ARC machines like a bell. If you hear steps, don't be stubborn; drop, rotate, and come back. Greed gets you clipped on a skyline. If you're trying to smooth out your progression, it can also help to top up outside the raid loop; I've seen plenty of players use U4GM to grab currency or items when their stash is dry, then use Bird City runs to keep the momentum going instead of waiting days to rebuild gear.
